After the Makhanda High Court refused to dissolve the council, Let’s Talk Komani and The Independents asked the Constitutional Court to overturn that ruling, saying the municipality has consistently failed to provide services.

On 14 November 2024 the party and Ken Clark asked the Makhanda High Court to dissolve the council and appoint a competent administrator, citing a letter from the Finance Minister complaining that council defies the administrator’s orders.
